Robert R Gigliotti
When Robert R Gigliotti is not shooting for Architect’s and Landscape Architects, he spends his time finding & photographing Urban spaces that have been overlooked by society or looking for an unique view on an common public space. Shooting panoramics (1:3 or 1:2 aspect ratio) of urban spaces with the goal of revealing what is actually seen if you were standing there yourself can draw you into the photography in a way that a single 2:3 ratio shot cannot.
Robert R Gigliotti also enjoys photographing flowers and objects that require an attention to their detail. With a 1:1 macro lens, Robert can capture the details with-in the details. Often we tend to gloss over the little details that make up the larger picture. Robert captures those details creating a vision with many complex layers of visual enjoyment.
Robert R Gigliotti also enjoys traveling and capturing the essence of a city with his panoramic, traditional and macro skills. Finding what defines a society with-in an urban environment is a challenge that can’t be done easily or quickly. Often, Robert will visit the locations multiple times throughout the year looking for the changes of the landscapes and attitudes of the people with the change of the seasons.
The rules of opposites attract are equally represented by Robert R Gigliotti’s urban deterioration photography. Robert enjoys finding those urban spots that are decaying beyond repair. This spaces were once thriving and full of moment. Capturing the dead still and rejected can be found in Robert R Gigliotti’s urban deterioration section of the shop section.
