Hqprints uses an Epson Stylus Pro 7600. We only use Epson Ultra Chrome pigmented Inks. These are not the dye inks you’ll find in a desktop printer, it’s pigment – fully archrival pigment that will remain brilliant on ILFORD papers for three times longer than prints made from a ink desktop printer. Our papers are exclusively provided by ILFORD Imaging. ILFORD works with Epson to fine tune their papers passing on the highest quality product to you, the consumer.
When companies like Kodak and Fuji create 35mm traditional film, they adapt the film to match what your eyes sees when you take the picture. When you take a digital picture, the camera lens and processor sees more colors than your eye can, hence why people often look pasty or washed out. At Hqprints, we won’t “Photoshop” your photo. We only adjust the white balance, contrast and brightness, and color balance as needed, per photo. This is something you’ve been use to in 35mm, but never realized you needed it with Digital. It was handled in the manufacturing process with 35mm, rather in the printing process with digital photography.
Once Hqprints has received your order and conformation of payment via Paypal, it will be completed within two days in most cases. How long it takes to arrive in your mail box depends on your location and the shipping method you chose. Hqprints can make special hand-deliveries in the Chicago land area.
After an order is printed, all digital files will be deleted after one week of printing. In the future Hqprints will be creating on-line photo albums to store images for your future needs.
You can mail us any disc for printing. We’ll even mail you back the original. You can send us digital files in the form of: CD, floppy disc, Compact flash, Sony memory stick, SD card and Smart media cards. Be sure to back up all files before sending to Hqprints. We can’t be responsible for lost or damaged media due to poor postal handling or in the rare event of a computer malfunction.
