Dark room Program
October 10th 2008

Fall 2008 program--This photo was taken in Chicago, IL in the jewelry district in-front of a mural in the worst food court in the Midwest. According to this mural, dolphins, gambling pimps, prostitution, wild horses, mountain terrain, and tigers all embody the Chicago spirit.
For the past four years, Robert R Gigliotti has worked with After School Matters teaching a digital photography and Photoshop class, Photo Journaling, that pairs with creative writing at Taft High School. In 2008 Robert was given the opportunity to start a traditional 35mm black and white Darkroom Photography program at Chicago Academy. This high school was once Wright College including an original darkroom setup in the basement built for the college. Recently Chicago Academy acquired enlargers to explore the restoration of the darkroom process, creating another creative outlet for the students of Chicago Academy.
