left_rrg3.gifRobert R. Gigliotti graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science in computer graphics. After studying the digital and traditional printing process, he worked as a graphic designer/programmer in Chicago, Illinois. Through the years of design/programming and his love for photography, he also worked part-time in several ‘mom and pop’ photo shops in the United States and London, England.

Looking for a change, Robert R. Gigliotti took a job with Kodak, supporting and selling the Kodak Picture Maker. Over time, he moved into the consumer sales division, supporting Kodak’s drug store traditional and digital imaging business in the Chicago land area. With the decline of traditional film business world wide, he then looked for new challenges in the Pro-sumer and digital markets. After making the cross over to ILFORD Imaging, Robert R. Gigliotti managed sales in Illinois, Wisconsin and Iowa. Though his love for digital photography, Robert R. Gigliotti decided to upgrade his camera (Canon 20D), buy a printing system and start his own digital printing business.

In addition to owning and running Hqprints and being an active photographer, Robert R. Gigliotti also currently teaches photography to aspiring students at the college, adult and high school level. At the International Academy of Design and Technology, he instructs future advertising/marketing professionals about the business aspects of photography, digital photography and photoshop. For Adults looking for direction and more meaning in their work, Robert works with The Hull House teaching Photoshop and the process of digital photography and technique at a beginning and advanced level. And at the high school level, he works with After School Matters teaching photography and cinematography as well as an intro to journaling and digital photography.
